Urban Frontier/Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport

The Client

Urban Frontier, in conjunction with Jefferson County, is developing a 600+ acre commercial development named Verve Innovation Park located on the southwest side of the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport.

The Business Challenge

Urban Frontier needed to understand what was required to provide a high-level Smart Campus Development Plan for the technology, and dry utilities for communications, power and gas.  This property is one of the largest undeveloped parcels of commercial land in Jefferson County and will be a major provider of jobs and economic activity in Jefferson County and the Denver Metropolitan Region.

The Business Solution

Technology Plus, Inc. (TPI) was brought in to conduct an analysis of the current electric and natural gas capacities in the area and analyzed the demands of service associated with the needs of the Verve Innovation Park at build-out.  Work included updating the General Development Plan, mapping to include locations and sizing of the utility lines. Additionally, TPI conducted an analysis of the communications infrastructure required to service the ultimate build-out for an advanced infrastructure.  This included meetings with the local service providers to determine capacity, line locations and phasing of fiber service along with advanced wireless service capabilities (5G and LTE).   This information was used to determine availability, quantity and redundancy of fiber.
