Littleton Public Schools (Colorado) is a district encompassing 13 elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools, an alternative middle school, a center for online studies, a program for at-risk and expelled students, an alternative high school and two early childhood centers. The district motto, “big enough to serve you, small enough to know you,” is embodied in the comprehensive programming offered in a caring and involved small-town atmosphere.
Ageing infrastructure and systems drove Littleton Public Schools to engage with Technology Plus (TPI) to conduct an independent, district wide assessment of the LPS’ technical infrastructure. TPI was asked to perform on-site surveys of 26 facilities and interview key stakeholders & administrators to support the LPS bond request.
Developing a comprehensive evaluation report and a plan to standardize many LPS systems over a narrow time window required a solid plan. TPI has perfected a proven methodology to aggregate requirements, evaluate needs and build a strategy for the future. In addition, LPS asked TPI to assess the Security Systems and to evaluate Technology trends in education.
LPS asked Technology Plus to assist in their quest to build a case to receive Bond funding to replace, repair and enhance their technology footprint. TPI helped build the business case, assembled budgetary pricing and produced a comprehensive report with recommendations including potential options. Once the LPS Bond was approved, TPI built the initial plans for implementation and created the “NEW” LPS standards for Security related systems.
