Littleton Public Schools- Tech Design

The Client

Littleton Public Schools (LPS) based in Littleton, Colorado engaged Technology Plus (TPI) to conduct an independent study to validate the need for public bonds to fund the updating of their facilities & critical technology and security systems. The bond was approved so LPS came back to TPI for assistance to design and oversee the upgrades

The Business Challenge

Having received funding, LPS identified 3 schools to act as the models for these upgrades; Littleton East, Littleton Field & Littleton Charter schools. Coordination between the Architect & TPI would be critical to ensure the construction and implementation efforts could be accomplished during the limited “Summer Break” timeframe.

The Business Solution

TPI worked closely to develop and set key requirements with key LPS staff members.  These requirements would set the stage for TPI to design the non-existent telecom/data center rooms as well as designing structured cabling, network, paging systems, access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance and facility's clock and bell systems. One of TPI’s core strengths is our ability to integrate the technology into the architectural plans, orchestrating the construction process with the implementation of technology infrastructure.

Littleton Public Schools leveraged TPIs efforts to build the on-going technology and security standards district wide, helping to advance the schools ability to leverage technology to enhance their student’s education.
